Copy a manicure
Copy a manicure puts a manicure you love onto a photo of your own hand, so you can see whether it suits you before the salon. Add a photo of your hand and a picture of the nails: a screenshot or one of the app's nail ideas. It copies the shape, length, colours and design, and keeps your hand.

What it is good for
You see a manicure online or on a friend and wonder how it would look on you. A shade or shape that suits one hand can look different on another, with other skin and fingers. See it on your own hand first: lilac chrome before a night out, a coral ombré for a holiday, or tiny painted flowers for a wedding. Then show the result to your nail technician. In Ideas, Try it on me on a nail idea opens Copy a manicure with its picture already added.
Tips for your two pictures
For your hand, photograph one hand from above with its back to the camera and the fingers spread a little, resting on a plain surface. Face a window in daylight and keep your nails in focus, close enough to see them. Move rings or bracelets that cover your nails, and avoid strong coloured light. For the manicure, choose a clear, close picture where the nails show well, without a filter that changes the colours.
What it does not do
It is an AI preview to help you decide before the salon. It copies only the nails from the second picture, never that hand's skin or jewellery. Your hand, your skin tone and texture, your own rings, the pose, the light and the background stay as they are. Long nails in the picture show a length yours may not have yet. It names no brands and gives no skin-care, allergy or medical advice. A real manicure depends on your own nails and your salon.
Questions and answers
More answers in HelpCan I copy a manicure from a picture onto my own nails?
Yes. Add a photo of your hand and a picture of the manicure, and Petalface puts the same nails on your photo, adapted to your hand and fingers.
Does it copy the nail shape and length too?
Yes. It copies the shape, length, colours and design together, so a picture of long stiletto nails gives you long stiletto nails on your photo. To choose a shape, design and shade yourself instead, use the Nails tool.
Will my skin and rings stay the same?
Yes. It changes only your nails. Your skin tone and texture, your fingers, any rings you wear, the light and the background stay as they are in your photo, and it takes nothing from the other hand but its manicure.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan makes 3 designs a day, each with a small watermark, and Pro makes up to 50 a day without it. Each manicure you copy counts as one design.
