Describe a look
Describe a look puts the look you have in mind on a photo of your own face. Add your photo, write the makeup or hair you want in a few words, such as gold shimmer on the lids and a berry lip, and see it on you. It is for ideas that no ready-made look matches.

What it is good for
Use it when you can picture a look but cannot find it in a list: the eye makeup you saw at a wedding, a lip colour a friend wore, or a mix of two looks you like. It works for hair too, so you can ask for caramel highlights with a coral lip and see both at once. Try a few versions of your words on the same photo, and keep the one you like for your makeup artist or stylist.
Tips for your words and your photo
Name the colours, the finish and where they go, such as soft mauve shadow or a glossy coral lip. A few clear details work better than a long list. Instead of a brand or a famous name, say what you like about the look. For the photo, sit facing a window in daylight, with your whole face in the frame and nothing over your eyes. If you ask for hair, your hair should show in the photo.
What it does not do
It is an AI preview to help you choose before you sit at the mirror or go to the salon. It reads your words as makeup or hair only, and keeps your face and its shape, your eyes, your skin tone and texture, your clothes, any head covering, the light and the background as they are. It names no products or brands and gives no skin-care, hair-care, allergy or medical advice. Real makeup, colour and cuts depend on your skin, your hair, the products you use and your salon.
Questions and answers
More answers in HelpWhat should I write to describe a makeup look?
Name the colours, the finish and where they go, for example soft bronze smoky eyes, kohl on the waterline and a satin rose-brown lip. A short sentence with a few clear details works best.
Can I describe a hair colour or hairstyle too?
Yes. Describe a look reads your words as makeup or hair, so you can ask for highlights, a new colour or a different style, on their own or with makeup. If you wear a hijab, it stays on and no hair is added.
Will it change my face or my skin tone?
No. It changes only the makeup or hair you describe and keeps your features, face shape, skin tone and texture as they are, along with your hijab or any other head covering.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan makes 3 designs a day, each with a watermark, and Pro makes up to 50 a day without it. Each look you describe on a photo counts as one design.
Describe a look: try it on your photo
Take a photo of your face or your hand, then try a look on it. Your designs follow you between phone and computer.
