Hairstyle
Hairstyle shows a new style on your own hair, in a photo of you. Add your photo and pick a Style, such as Beach waves, a Blowout, a High ponytail or a Braided updo. Your hair keeps its own colour. It is for seeing a style on yourself before a wedding, an evening out or a salon appointment.

What it is good for
Use it when you are planning a look and want to see the style on you first: a Braided updo or a Sleek bun for a wedding, Hollywood waves for an evening out, or Beach waves for a summer holiday. Try a few styles on the same photo and compare them, such as a Messy bun against a Half up style for a busy day. Save the one you like and show it to whoever does your hair, so you both start from the same picture.
Tips for your photo
Take it in daylight, facing a window, with your whole face, your shoulders and as much of your hair as you can in the frame. Wear your hair loose and dry, so the new style starts from its real length and texture. Keep hats, clips and headbands off, and avoid filters, coloured lights and photos with more than one person.
What it does not do
It is a preview made by AI, to help you decide before you book or style it yourself. It changes only how your hair is styled, following your hairline and texture. Your hair's colour, your face, your skin tone, your clothes, the light and the background stay as they are. If your hair is covered, the covering stays on. It names no products or brands and gives no hair-care, allergy or medical advice. How a style looks in real life depends on your hair's length, thickness and condition, and on whoever does it.
Questions and answers
More answers in HelpHow can I see what a hairstyle would look like on me?
Add a photo of yourself and pick a Style. Petalface styles the hair in your own photo, so you see the style on you before you try it for real.
Will it change my hair colour?
No. It changes only how your hair is styled and keeps its colour. The style starts from your own hairline and texture, whether your hair is straight, wavy, curly or coily, and your face and skin tone stay as they are.
Can I try a hairstyle for a wedding?
Yes. Try a Braided updo, a High ponytail and Hollywood waves on the same photo and compare them before you choose. Then show the one you like to the person doing your hair.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan makes 3 designs a day, each with a small watermark, and Pro makes up to 50 a day without it. Each style you try on a photo counts as one design.
